# Every lesson on the syllabus, and nobody flies out of currency.

Instructors record each lesson against the student's syllabus, exercise by exercise, and sign it off, on the web or on a phone after the flight. Students and instructors see progress at a glance, and the next lesson follows from the last. RALPH also watches the proficiency checks and renewals your people need, and Ralph chases each one before it lapses, so nobody flies out of currency.

*Sam Okafor's PPL(H): lesson 14 of 30, autorotations, recorded exercise by exercise and signed by Dan Kerr, and a proficiency check being chased.*

## How it works

1. **Set out the course.** Give each course its lessons and exercises, and enrol students on it.
2. **Record each lesson.** After the flight, the instructor ticks off each exercise, marks what to fly again, and signs. The student's progress moves on.
3. **Stay current.** RALPH watches every proficiency check and renewal, and Ralph chases each one before it lapses.

## Questions, answered

### Can we use our own syllabus?

Yes. Set out your course as lessons and exercises, for a licence, a type rating or your own club checkout, and each student's record follows it.

### How does an instructor record a lesson?

Open the booking, tick off each exercise or mark it to fly again, add any notes, and sign. It takes a minute on a phone after the flight, and the student sees it straight away.

### What does RALPH chase?

The dated checks your people need to keep flying, such as proficiency checks and sign-off renewals. Ralph reminds the person and whoever arranges the check before it lapses, and can find a slot for it.

### Do training records count for the regulator?

They're kept complete, signed and dated, ready to show an inspector or to export. See Compliance for what the export holds.
