# Every flight billed, straight into your books.

RALPH prices each flight from your rates, using the hours on its flight record, the aircraft, the kind of flying and whether an instructor was on board, and raises the invoice in your billing and accounting tools, such as Xero. Your books, your invoices and your customers' payments stay there, where your accountant already works. RALPH keeps no invoicing or accounting system of its own. Xero is the first tool it connects to, and more will follow.

*Billing: each flight priced from the rates and invoiced in the operator's accounting tool, Xero in this example, with Sam Okafor's dual lesson on G-WWBB raised as INV-0412.*

## How it works

1. **Connect your accounting tool and set your rates.** Connect your accounting tool (Xero today), then set what each aircraft, instructor and kind of flying costs.
2. **Fly.** When a flight is confirmed, RALPH prices it from its hours and your rates.
3. **It's invoiced in your accounting tool.** The invoice is raised there against the right contact, and paid and chased there as it is today.

## Questions, answered

### Which accounting tools does RALPH work with?

Xero, for now, and more will follow. You'll need a Xero organisation to invoice through RALPH today. RALPH doesn't keep accounts of its own, so your books stay in one place.

### How is each flight priced?

From the rates you set, such as a rate per hour for each aircraft or type, with instruction and landing fees where you charge them, applied to the hours on the flight record.

### Is this how RALPH bills us?

No. This is how you bill your own members, students and customers. RALPH's subscription is separate; see Pricing.

### What about payments and deposits taken online?

They land in your billing and accounting tools too. See Online sales for trial lessons, vouchers and deposits.
